Booking Terms & Conditions

What to expect before, during and after your RTS Ready session.

Prior to your session

1. Booking & Requirements

1.1. Our standard sessions run between 9am and 2pm. Sessions requested outside these hours may incur additional charges.

2. Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

2.1. Cancelling more than 14 days before your scheduled session date: no fee.

2.2. Cancelling within 14 days of your scheduled session date: a charge of at least 50% of the total session cost applies. The amount charged depends on the notice given and the circumstances of the cancellation, and reflects work such as the Site Visit already completed.

2.3. Participants can be added or removed up to 48 hours before the session, free of charge. Significant changes to participant numbers close to the session date may affect the session design agreed at your Site Visit - please let us know as early as possible.

3. Session Expectations

3.1. Our Training Team will arrive 60 minutes before the session to set up. We require a nominated representative from your organisation - ideally whoever attended the Site Visit - to meet the Team on arrival.

3.2. Participants must be fit and able to adequately complete practical demonstrations. This may include walking your building's evacuation routes, using stairwells, and performing physical first aid actions as part of an integrated scenario.

3.3. All participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner throughout.

3.4. Rude, offensive, or inappropriate behaviour towards trainers or staff will not be tolerated. RTS Ready reserves the right to pause or discontinue a session in these circumstances, without refund.

4. Attendance

4.1. Participants must attend the full session to receive their Certificate of Completion.

4.2. Participants are required to wear appropriate attire, including enclosed shoes, given the practical and site-based nature of the training.

5. Site Suitability on the Day

5.1. If, on the day, the Site is assessed as unsafe, the session will not proceed as planned and may need to be rescheduled; fees under section 2 may apply.

5.2. A Site may be considered unsafe or unsuitable if it: has evacuation routes or exits that are blocked or obstructed; has restricted access (for example, security clearance or locked floors) that wasn't disclosed in advance.

5.3. It is the Client's responsibility to inform RTS Ready of any change to the Site.

Post session

6. Invoicing & Payment Terms

6.1. Clients will be invoiced after the session is completed.

6.2. The final invoice amount is the fee confirmed in your proposal for the agreed engagement. If scope changes during the engagement (for example, additional sessions or a larger site than originally scoped), this will be confirmed with you before it's added to your invoice.

6.3. Invoices are due within 30 days.

6.4. Certificates of Completion are issued electronically to both the booking contact and the participant.

7. Liability & Compliance

7.1. The Client is responsible for ensuring RTS Ready has accurate information about the Site and a safe environment in which to deliver the session.

7.2. The Client must ensure that a current public liability insurance policy, covering at least $20 million per claim, is held for any premises at which RTS Ready delivers a session, and must provide evidence of this on request.

7.3. RTS Ready is not liable for issues arising from an inadequate or undisclosed Site condition.

7.4. To the extent permitted by law, the Client releases RTS Ready from any claim arising from an act or omission of the Client's own staff or Wardens during a session, and indemnifies RTS Ready against any claim arising from such an act or omission where RTS Ready is not negligent.

7.5. Participants must comply with all relevant health and safety requirements during training.

7.6. Completing a session with RTS Ready supports your organisation's compliance efforts, but does not guarantee a particular outcome - including the result of a WHS audit or inspection, or that an emergency will be managed without loss, injury, or damage.

By confirming your booking with RTS Ready, you acknowledge and agree to these terms and conditions.
