Site Compliance Audit in Perth - Know Where You Actually Stand

A 30 to 45 minute on-site walkthrough checking your evacuation routes, fire safety installations, diagram currency, Emergency Plan and warden training records - included free with Warden Training or an Emergency Drill.

What is a Site Compliance Audit?

A fast, honest read on your site

Most workplaces believe they're compliant right up until somebody checks. Diagrams get left on the wall after a tenancy fit-out, an Emergency Plan sits three versions behind the building it describes, or warden training quietly lapses when people change roles.

The Site Compliance Audit is a short, practical walkthrough that tells you where you actually stand. We check your evacuation routes and fire safety installations against AS 2444 and AS 3745-2010, confirm whether your evacuation diagrams are current and correctly displayed, verify whether a site-specific Emergency Response Plan exists, and sanity-check your ECO training records.

It's deliberately a triage, not a line-by-line documented audit. It's built to surface the two or three things most likely to need attention - quickly, and in plain language. You get a verbal summary on the day and a short written summary to take to your committee.

Book Warden Training or an Emergency Drill and the audit is included at no extra charge during the same visit.

The Four Checks

What we look at, and why it matters

Routes, Exits & Fire Equipment

A visual walkthrough of your evacuation routes, exits and fire safety installations against AS 2444 and AS 3745-2010. Blocked egress and missing or poorly located equipment are the fastest things to find and the easiest to fix.

Evacuation Diagram Currency

Whether your diagrams still match the building, and whether they meet AS 3745-2010 on placement, mounting height and required content. Out-of-date diagrams are one of the most common audit failures we see.

Your Emergency Response Plan

Confirmation of whether a current, site-specific Emergency Response Plan exists, as required under WHS Regulation 43 and the WHS Act 2020 (ss.47–49). A generic plan that doesn't describe your building doesn't meet the obligation.

ECO & Warden Training Currency

A high-level check of your training records against the roles your Emergency Plan names. Wardens who have changed roles, left, or simply fallen outside their currency window show up here.

A triage, not a line-by-line audit. This is a condensed, priority-item version of our full Emergency Response Audit Checklist, built to surface the things most likely to need attention quickly. If you need the fuller documented review, we can scope that separately.
The Process

Half an hour, same visit

The audit runs alongside the Warden Training session or Emergency Drill it's bundled with, so there's no second visit to coordinate.

1

We Walk the Site

A visual pass over evacuation routes, exits, fire safety installations and your displayed evacuation diagrams.

2

We Check the Paperwork

Whether a current site-specific Emergency Response Plan exists, and how your ECO training records look against the roles your plan names.

3

Verbal Summary

You hear the findings on the day, in plain language, while we're still standing in the building they relate to.

4

Written Summary

A short one-page written summary of key gaps and recommendations follows, so you have something to take to your committee.

Free when bundled, available standalone

The Site Compliance Audit is included at no extra charge with every Warden Training or Emergency Drill booking, and with the Combined Package. We recommend one bundled audit per site per 12 months. If you're not booking either service, it can be booked on its own - ask us for a quote. Available across the Perth metro area.

Common Questions

The Site Compliance Audit, answered

The questions we get asked most often before a booking. If yours isn't covered, ask us directly.

Ask us a question
Is the Site Compliance Audit really free?

It's included at no extra charge when you book Warden Training or an Emergency Drill, and is run during that same site visit. It's also available on its own as a standalone booking if you're not booking either of those services.

We recommend one bundled audit per site per 12 months.

What exactly do you check?

A visual walkthrough of evacuation routes, exits and fire safety installations against AS 2444 and AS 3745-2010; evacuation diagram currency and compliance including placement, height and content; whether a current site-specific Emergency Response Plan exists under WHS Regulation 43 and WHS Act 2020 ss.47–49; and a high-level check of ECO and warden training currency against your records.

Is this a full documented compliance audit?

No, and it isn't meant to be. This is a condensed, priority-item version of our full Emergency Response Audit Checklist - a fast triage built to surface the two or three things most likely to need attention, rather than a line-by-line documented audit.

If you need the fuller documented review, talk to us about scoping that separately.

What do we receive afterwards?

A verbal summary of findings on the day, plus a short one-page written summary of the key gaps and recommendations so you have something to take to your Emergency Planning Committee or management.

How long does it take and will it disrupt us?

30 to 45 minutes on-site, run as part of the same visit as the Warden Training session or Emergency Drill it's bundled with. It's a walkthrough rather than an inspection that requires shutting anything down, so disruption is minimal.

What happens if the audit finds problems?

We tell you on the day and put it in the written summary. Common findings are evacuation diagrams that no longer match the floor layout, no current site-specific Emergency Response Plan, or warden training that has lapsed.

Where we can help we'll quote it - but there's no obligation to take that work with us.
