A 2-hour on-site session covering every role in your Emergency Control Organisation, built around your building's real routes, exits and Emergency Plan. Every participant receives a Certificate of Attendance.
Your wardens already hold their accreditation and know the theory. What they haven't done is apply it on your site, under pressure, with your building's real layout, routes and risks. Warden Training closes that gap - it's where classroom knowledge gets tested against the floor plan your team will actually face in an emergency.
We run it on your site, using your own Emergency Plan. Every ECO role is trained together in the one session - Chief Warden, Deputy Chief Warden, Area and Floor Wardens, their deputies and Communications Officers - rather than split across separate visits for different levels.
It's a non-accredited package: it doesn't replace your wardens' original certification, it makes sure that certification holds up in your building. Every participant receives a Certificate of Attendance, and you keep a training register as evidence the session took place.
One session covers up to 12 participants across two hours on-site. Larger sites are simply run as multiple 2-hour sessions at the same rate, so nobody is standing around watching.
Book Warden Training and we run a Site Compliance Audit during the same visit at no extra charge.
One on-site session covers the full running order below - for up to 12 participants, taking in every ECO role together.
We review your existing Emergency Plan, your ECO structure and any prior training records, so the session starts from where your site actually is.
What each ECO role is required to do - Chief Warden, Deputy Chief Warden, Area and Floor Wardens, their deputies and Communications Officers.
Your actual evacuation routes, exits, assembly points, fire indicator panel and alarm type, plus the AS 3745 and WA WHS obligations attached to each role.
An identification and PPE briefing, then Certificates of Attendance and the training register completed before we leave.
Warden training isn't a one-off. Your ECO is expected to keep its skills current on a regular cycle - here's what that looks like.
AS 3745-2010 Clause 6.5.1.1 expects a skills retention activity at intervals of no more than six months. See 6-Monthly Online Refresher.
A full evacuation exercise on site. This is the annual obligation under AS 3745-2010 and WHS Regulation 43 - see Emergency Drills.
This session, repeated in line with AS 3745-2010 guidance on ECO training currency - or sooner if your ECO membership, building or procedures change.
If your team needs a nationally recognised qualification (PUAFER005/006), that is delivered through our sister company, RTS Training.
AS3745-2010 calls for a tested, capable ECO in every building where people work or gather. Our trainers have delivered warden training for:
The questions we get asked most often before a booking. If yours isn't covered, ask us directly.
Ask us a questionNo, and it isn't meant to be. Warden Training is a non-accredited package that assumes your wardens already hold their accreditation. It tests whether that training holds up on your site, under pressure, using your building's real layout and your own Emergency Plan.
If your team needs accredited warden training in the first place, that's delivered through our sister company, RTS Training. RTS Ready is the bridge between the certificate and the site.
One session covers up to 12 participants and takes in every ECO role together - Chief Warden, Deputy Chief Warden, Area and Floor Wardens, their deputies and Communications Officers.
Larger sites are run as multiple 2-hour sessions at the same rate, so everyone gets trained without anyone standing around watching.
It's a single 2-hour session delivered at your premises, covering role and responsibility training for every ECO role, your building's actual evacuation routes and assembly points, the AS 3745-2010 and WA WHS obligations attached to each role, and an ID and PPE briefing. We come to you, because the whole point is training your team in the building they'd actually have to evacuate.
No. Warden Training is the classroom-and-walkthrough half of the cycle - roles, your Emergency Plan, your building and the obligations attached to each position.
The live, whole-of-building evacuation exercise that AS 3745-2010 expects at least once a year is a separate package, the Emergency Drill, run and reported in its own 2-hour visit. Most clients book both across a 12-month cycle.
Yes. When you book Warden Training we run a Site Compliance Audit during the same visit at no extra charge - a 30 to 45 minute walkthrough checking evacuation routes, fire safety installations, evacuation diagram currency and whether a current site-specific Emergency Response Plan exists.
You receive a verbal summary on the day plus a short written summary of key gaps and recommendations.
On-site Warden Training is recommended every 12 to 24 months, in line with AS 3745-2010 guidance on ECO training currency. In between, the Standard expects a skills retention activity at intervals of no more than six months - which the 6-Monthly Online Refresher covers - plus your annual Emergency Drill. Together those give your ECO four documented touchpoints across a 12-month cycle.
A Certificate of Attendance for every participant, plus a training register you hold as evidence that the session took place and who attended. If you take the free Site Compliance Audit during the same visit, you also receive a short written summary of key gaps and recommendations.
